New condominiums have several hoops to move through after turn over by the developer. Some of the critical tasks have time sensitive deadlines to protect the economic prosperity of the ownership and secure support on warrantable items or other deficiencies. Join Dionne Levesque of SVR Lawyers LLP and Adrian Breitwieser of Entuitive as we discuss the conveyance of documents (drawings, warranty documentation and leases), the physical property (including how to handle building defects, addressing the developer or filing warranty claims) and the important tasks the condominium needs to plan to do in its early years (arms length assessments, technical audits, inaugural reserve fund studies).

Running a condo board is a bit like steering a big ship—you need clear maps, steady hands, and someone ready to take the wheel when the current captain steps aside. In one short session, you’ll learn easy tools—checklists, shared folders, and “buddy” shadowing—that keep your building’s story alive and your board sailing smoothly, even when the crew changes.
