Joint CGU and IAH-CNC Meeting
The Canadian Geophysical Union (CGU) and the International Association of Hydrogeologists – Canadian National Chapter (IAH-CNC) are pleased to host a joint meeting that brings together geoscientists, hydrogeologists, engineers, and researchers from across Canada and around the world.
A highlight of CGU membership is the Annual Scientific Meeting, which provides a vibrant forum to network, collaborate, and share research with colleagues across the geosciences. Collaborative opportunities are further strengthened through joint meetings with complementary scientific societies, such as IAH-CNC.
This year’s conference will feature:
-
Presentations of current research across geoscience and hydrogeology.
-
Opportunities to emphasize Canadian-focused research in a global context.
-
Recognition of CGU award and student paper winners.
-
Invited and plenary presentations from leading voices in the field.
-
Information sessions hosted by granting agencies.
-
Geoscience and professional development workshops.
-
Networking opportunities through formal sessions and informal connections.
IAH-CNC, representing approximately 400 hydrogeology professionals across Canada, is part of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH), a global scientific and educational organization dedicated to advancing hydrogeological science for the common good. IAH-CNC is an active network, offering its members talks, seminars, webinars, and conferences throughout the year.
Together, CGU and IAH-CNC invite you to join us at this joint meeting—a unique opportunity to engage with leading research, connect across disciplines, and strengthen the geoscience and hydrogeological communities.
Location
This year's conference will take place at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
