Dr. Peter Morse, Research Scientist at the Geological Survey of Canada, investigates permafrost conditions at a variety of scales in order to understand the roles of Quaternary history and contemporary climate change on trajectories of permafrost degradation. He uses a variety of techniques and approaches that range from site-specific field work to regional remote sensing, and is interested in how permafrost degradation affects regional hydrological dynamics.
