Fernando is a highly skilled geophysical engineer with a Bachelor's degree from UNAM, Mexico's national university, where he was awarded the prestigious Gabino Barreda Medal for his outstanding academic achievements. He is now finishing his Master's degree at the University of Calgary, where his research focuses on building subsurface models for geothermal exploration using seismic ambient noise across Western Canada. Moreover, he recently started working at Qeye Labs' Calgary office as a QI Geophysicist.

He is an active member of the geophysical community, currently serving as the Assistant Communications Director for the CSEG and as part of the organizing committee for the Geophysical Industry Field Trip (GIFT) 2023 . With his dedication to excellence and passion for geophysics, Fernando is excited to contribute his expertise and skills to the industry.
