At Tech Fest 2023, you can engage with tech-focused companies, the innovation community and post-secondary schools in five different areas:
- Registration: Enter our draw for a number of prizes and receive Tech Fest and Hunter Hub swag.
- Cruiser tables: Check out post-secondary schools from the Calgary area and our local innovation community, available throughout the entire day.
- Media wall: Visit our photo wall to take polaroid snaps and participate in Speakers’ Corner, sharing what excites you about innovation.
- Company booths: Featuring 40 tech-focused regional companies, this is Tech Fest’s primary space. Network with prospective employers and build connections for future work!
- Video game networking lounge: This optional gaming spot allows students and prospective employers to connect on a deeper level, while playing fun local video games facilitated by the local industry. Please register in advance to ensure you can participate! The gaming lounge is hosted by Red Iron Labs. Red Iron Labs (aka "Red Iron", aka RIL) is a small studio hustling in Alberta to make technology accessible to all. We view technology as an extension of our community centered activism where we have the opportunity to create welcoming, inclusive, accessible spaces for all through our games, projects and VR simulations. Gaming is in our DNA and we have leveraged our skillset to apply game theory to educating and creating meaningful experiences. We believe that if you can dream it we can build it, and if we build it they will come.
