Alberta NDP members are invited to attend the Alberta NDP Leadership Premiere on June 22 at the Hyatt Regency Calgary. Along with being in the room when the next leader of the Alberta NDP is announced, the Leadership Premiere will feature workshops, panels and speakers for Alberta NDP Activists.

Join former Cabinet Minister and NDP MLA Hon. Marg McCuaig Boyd, E.C.A (Principal, Counsel Public Affairs), former NDP Caucus Communications Director Leah Ward (Vice President, Wellington Advocacy), and veteran political communicator Sally Housser (Regina University candidate for the Saskatchewan NDP) for a discussion on their experience developing messaging that resonates with voters. | |
| 10:30 AM - 11:45 AM | Moving forward together: local building blocks for growing the grassroots | With thousands of new members to our party we need to make them feel welcome in our constituency association! These new members were committed enough to buy a membership and it is now our job to welcome them into the fold. Join Karlie Hanoski to learn how to build the volunteer base with our old and new members. In this session we’ll learn how to recruit and retain volunteers. Not every volunteer wants to be president, but they need to feel welcome. This training will cover the roles and responsibilities of a Constituency Association activist, including the role of the CFO, the president, and will include a discussion on engaging with the NDP’s new members. | |
