2024 CGU Salt Dilution Measurement Workshop and Flowgatta
Sunday, May 26th, 10am - 4pm
Bring your waders and your best SWAG (Scientific Wild-Ass Guess) and join us for the 2024 CGU Salt Dilution Measurement Workshop and Flowgatta at CGU's Annual Meeting. This event is sponsored by Fathom Scientific in order to go over the finer details of Salt Dilution Measurement as described in the BC RISC (2018) guidelines in a "real-world" setting (unless this is all a simulation). Participants are encouraged to bring their own flow measurement equipment (current meters, image velocimetry, radar, ADCP, ?) to compare to the Salt Dilution method. Join Gabe Sentlinger (Fathom) and Murray Richardson (Carleton University) afterwards for data processing, rating curve development tutorial, pizza and FREE BEER**! Previous year's events have been the subject of hydrometric folklore since the dawn of time, and this year should be no different*** So register now! Spaces are limited!
CGU members: Free!
Non-CGU members: $40 cash*!
Maximum Participants: 20!
Pizza and Beer?: YES!
*or email Gabe with Fathom, we can work something out.
**limit 1x0.3litre domestic beer per registrant, can deposit not included.
***unless we don't get enough registrants, then it will just be Gabe and Murray eating pizza and drinking beer on the creek bank: sad.
