The AGM is your opportunity to hear directly from CCI-SA leadership on the Chapter's activities, financials, and direction for the year ahead. Voting on Chapter business will take place in accordance with the bylaws.

Welcome to the Alberta Condo Conference. The doors are open! Swing by registration if you haven't checked in yet, load up a breakfast plate from the trade show floor, and grab a good seat.

Most boards know they need technical audits — but very few understand what they're really getting, what different reports actually cover, or how to use the results to make smarter decisions about their building. This session demystifies the full range of technical assessments: what triggers them, what engineers are actually looking for, how to interpret findings, and how results feed into your reserve fund planning. If your corporation has aging infrastructure, upcoming major repairs, or a reserve fund study on the horizon, this session will save you time, money, and costly misunderstandings.

Lunch at ACC isn't a sit-down-and-wait affair — it's an hour and fifteen minutes of the best networking on the floor.

Food stations are spread across the trade show, which means the path to lunch takes you past the exhibitors you haven't had a chance to visit yet. Grab something at one end, have a conversation in the middle, pick up dessert on your way back. It's designed that way on purpose.

Your replacement cost appraisal is one of the most consequential documents your corporation holds — and it's also one of the most misunderstood. Many boards conflate replacement cost with market value, don't know what drives appraisal changes year over year, or have no idea how their appraisal connects to their insurance coverage and risk exposure. This session breaks it all down in plain language: how appraisals are built, what makes them go up or down, and what it means for your corporation if your coverage and your appraisal are out of sync. Come with questions — this one directly impacts your bottom line.

Energy retrofits can deliver major benefits — from lower operating costs and reduced emissions to improved comfort, resilience, and indoor air quality — but knowing where to start and how to move projects forward remains a challenge for many condo owners, property managers, and industry professionals.

This session will provide a practical roadmap for planning and implementing successful retrofit projects. Participants will learn how to assess retrofit opportunities, set project goals, and prepare for implementation while navigating available funding, financing, and support programs. Through real-world case studies, speakers will share lessons learned from projects at different scales and stages of development.

The session will also explore how emerging technologies, integrated design approaches, and innovative retrofit strategies can help projects meet a range of priorities, whether focused on energy efficiency, affordability, occupant comfort, climate resilience, operational performance, or healthier indoor environments. Attendees will gain insights into these innovative approaches, how other buildings have applied them, and the resulting outcomes.
