Julie Laliberté (she/her) is of Dutch, English, and French Canadian heritage and was born and raised and is currently living on the unceded and stolen territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ and lək̓ʷəŋən peoples. She has been working for the Liard Aboriginal Women’s Society (LAWS) on unceded Kaska territory since 2015 and currently co-facilitates the program Youth for Dignity (Ts’ídāne Ā’ Nezen) which focuses on gendered violence, activism, and Kaska culture, using a Response Based/Dignity driven lens. Julie completed her Masters degree in August 2022 and is beginning a practice in clinical counselling.
