I am a Geomatics Engineer that obtained a master’s degree in (physical) Geography from McGill University in 2007. I have over 25 years of experience in the field of geomatics (particularly, earth observation) and application development. I currently work as manager of the Geodetic Systems and Infrastructure section at the Canadian Geodetic Survey and I’m Canada’s representative to the Global Geodetic Reference Frame for the Americas. This is an international organization under the umbrella of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) and the Pan-American Institute of Geography History (PAIGH) that works towards the definition, realization and maintenance of a state-of-art geodetic reference frame in the Americas and involves several institutions from more than 20 countries, including the United States and Canada.
