Wavemakers is a free, groundbreaking virtual reality career-building program where you will build the skills, network, and mindset to win in the workforce. Wavemakers is supported by the Government of Canada through the Innovative Work-Integrated Learning Program to strengthen students’ core future-proof capabilities and connect talent directly with leading employers across Canada.

Wavemakers is open to students currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution.

So often our classroom education can be reduced to always having the correct answer. But Wavemakers inspires me to keep being imaginative and consider new ways of problem-solving as the issues we face are becoming increasingly complex.
With Wavemakers, you have a real opportunity to work with other people- people with different backgrounds and interests- you get to actually use your soft skills and it’s a great way to step out of your comfort zone and make connections.
I’m honoured to have had the opportunity to be a part of the Wavemakers program–connecting with mentors and other students across Canada in a remote virtual environment was not only a ton of fun, but also allowed for surprisingly intuitive and comfortable interactions.
Wavemakers helped me reframe the way I think about important issues and develop a more entrepreneurial and sustainable mindset. Most importantly I loved my ability to network, and attend these interesting workshops, from the comfort of my own home.
The course did an excellent job of preparing me for the future of work with opportunities to develop soft skills which are not focused on heavily within my post-secondary courses.
