S1. Glacial Isostatic Adjustment: Models and Observational Constraints for Improved Ice Load History and Earth Rheology
This session invites presentations that focus on glacial isostatic adjustment (GIA) models and their associated observational constraints. Particularly encouraged are contributions that discuss advancements in either the ice sheet model or Earth model representations of the GIA process, including incorporations of glaciological processes, complex mantle rheologies, and/or lateral variations in Earth structure. Also welcomed are submissions that describe recent space-based geodetic observations of cryospheric mass change, as well as new or updated (glacio-)geological records, particularly as they relate to the improved constraint and understanding of GIA deformation. Submissions may focus on short or long time scales, and either regionally developed or global scale studies.
