Dr. Bernie Beckman started with Hy-Line International in the summer of 1992 as a Technical Service Veterinarian and currently holds the Director of Technical Services position for Hy-Line North America. Bernie received his D.V.M. at Purdue University in 1992.
Dr. Beckman’s technical services responsibilities include qualifying chick shipments for Hy-Line International and egg shipments for Valo BioMedia, and day-old chick distribution for Hy-Line North America. Bernie does follow-up technical support for both international and domestic customers, but on-farm support is the area where he spends most of his time. He is also very involved in evaluating and improving internal programs for food safety, management and animal welfare.
Bernie grew up on a farm in Indiana and currently resides in Earlham, Iowa with his wife Kim, and their two children, Meghan and Heath.
