Ana María is a PhD student at the University of Saskatchewan, supervised by Dr. Colin Whitfield. Her research focuses on the emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) from prairie water bodies. She is interested in understanding how human disturbances, such as agricultural practices, can influence GHG fluxes from pothole wetlands and agricultural reservoirs. This summer, she will start water, sediments, and GHG sampling from pothole wetlands in Mistawais.
