Erica Pietroniro is a first-year MSc student at the University of Ottawa, with partial funding from the Canadian Hazard Information Services (CHIS) group at Natural Resources Canada. She is supervised by Pascal Audet (uOttawa) and Claire Perry (CHIS). Her studies focus on earthquake early warning systems, site characterization, and how to incorporate site effects into earthquake early warning models. Erica earned her BASc in nanotechnology engineering at the University of Waterloo. She is interested in how experts from across different fields of study communicate ideas and collaborate to solve problems.
