Speaker Bio
Soran is working on characterizing and projecting sea-level change and nuisance flooding along the Atlantic Coast of Canada. A key aspect of his project is isolating the glacial isostatic adjustment signal based on paleo sea-level observations to then remove this signal from geodetic data and interpret the residual in terms of other processes. He has an M.Sc. in Geodesy and a B.Sc. in Geomatics Engineering, both from the University of Tehran.
