Neeraj Nainwal is a graduate student in the Department of Geological Sciences and Engineering at Queen’s University. His PhD research focuses on the cooperative inversion of UAV-borne magnetic and radiometric data for improved mineral targeting, supervised by Dr. Alexander Braun.
In 2013, he pursued his Bachelor's degree in Geo-science Engineering from the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, India, and then went on to complete his Master's in Geological Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India. For his Master's thesis, he worked on numerical modeling of 2D Electrical Resistivity Data to understand groundwater dynamics in both spatial and temporal domains.
Outside of academia, he has a passion for mountaineering, bicycling, and yoga.
