Date & Time
Tuesday, May 28, 2024, 3:00 PM - 3:15 PM
Description

A sequence of earthquakes with the largest magnitude of Mw 5.3 on November 30, 2022, struck Peace River (PR) in northwestern Alberta. To enable a comprehensive investigation of the causes and continuing seismicity, the University of Alberta and the Alberta Geological Survey conducted the ‘Peace River Induced Seismic Monitoring’ (PRISM) experiment, installing 10 nodal geophones near the Mw 5.3 epicenters from December 6, 2022, to April 14, 2023. The nodal array recorded approximately 2200 aftershocks (-1.9
