Description

This study evaluates the next generation of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) GPS orbit and clock products, developed using GipsyX software. These new products have been produced using undifferenced phase and code data, an iterative solution and combined estimation of geodetic and geophysical parameters based on Kalman filter. Our research focuses on assessing the quality and reliability of the Final orbits and Clocks within the context of Precise Point Positioning (PPP). Through a comprehensive analysis, we compare the performance of NRCan's GipsyX-based products against established benchmarks, including the IGS combined products, the former NRCan Bernese-based products, and other analysis centers (ACs). By examining various metrics such as accuracy, consistency, and convergence time, we provide insights into the efficacy of NRCan's latest offerings and suitability under different scenarios. The outcomes of this study serve to validate the utility of NRCan's advancements while paving the path for the introduction of the Rapid and Ultra-Rapid products.
