Name
H4 River Ice Session One: Flow Hydraulics and Geomorphologic Changes in Ice-Affected Rivers
Description
Preface: River-ice affects the hydraulics of ice-affected rivers, which can create changes in flow measurement and estimation, induce short- and long- term changes in channel geomorphology, and cause flooding of overbank areas. This session is intended for scientific discussion of recent findings related to the topics below. Topics: • Hydrometry of ice-affected rivers • Ice and Channel Change • Ice Formation and Breakup • Remote sensing and river ice
