Description

Join Elyn Humphreys, Peter White, and others for a visit to the Mer Bleue bog research site.  The Mer Bleue bog has been the subject of over 25 years of carbon cycle science and monitoring.  Learn about the natural history of this Ramsar Site, which designates Mer Bleue as a wetland of international importance, and learn about the ongoing science projects at this site including greenhouse gas exchange monitoring, remote sensing of peatlands, and drone-based GNSS survey field methods, among others. Appropriate outdoor clothing, good walking shoes or hiking boots, and water bottles are recommended.

Cost: $30 per person (includes transportation in charted bus)
