This session will bring together emerging and established researchers who will explore dynamic forest systems through a range of geographic, ecological, and technological lenses. Presenters will investigate how forests respond to disturbance, the implications of climate change, and the evolving role of technologies—from dendrochronology and genomics to geospatial modeling and remote sensing. Topics will include wildland fire boundary validation, boreal forest regeneration, urban forestry, and the impacts of tree diversity on forest health and resilience. Attendees will gain new insights into the tools and strategies that will shape the future of forest research, management, and conservation.
