The development of the CARI+ methodology and its series of model outputs have demonstrated not only the strength of this measure and the need for service- or area-specific definitions of rurality but also the importance of clear and engaging ways to share this information with those who use or are affected by these models. While traditional dissemination methods, such as peer-reviewed journal articles, remain essential, there is a growing need for community engagement, transparency, and interactive approaches to ensure accessibility and usability. Building on the discussion of CARI+ as a tool for measuring service-specific rurality, this presentation will explore effective strategies for communicating GIS-generated outputs to both researchers and the public in engaging and accessible ways. This includes the use of StoryMaps, ArcGIS Hub, and public-use repositories to enhance understanding and interaction with the data.
