Jon brings public and private leadership experience in the tourism and hospitality industries as Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer for Travel Alberta. He is accountable for driving the organization’s destination development strategy, including aviation investment and product development in partnership with communities, private capital, entrepreneurs, and the government.

Jon came to Travel Alberta from Destination Toronto, where he served as EVP & CMO. While there, he led the organization’s digital marketing transformation, crafted a new destination narrative and brand platform, and led the creative pitch team to secure FIFA 2026 for the city. Prior to that, he served as CMO & SVP, Marketing and Sales, for Destination Canada, where he helped Canada’s tourism industry achieve several years of record growth in international visitation.

Jon is no stranger to Alberta. He previously served as Travel Alberta’s Vice President, Marketing and Sales, which included building the foundations of the award-winning, “Remember to Breathe” brand campaign. He has also held progressive leadership roles across marketing, innovation, loyalty, and customer experience with luxury hotel brands of Four Seasons and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Before entering the travel and hospitality sector, Jon began his career with Procter & Gamble, a global-leading consumer packaged goods company.

Born in Quebec and raised in Saskatchewan, Jon lives by his pan-Canadian upbringing. He a fan of great poutine and enjoys a winning season for his beloved Roughriders. In his spare time, he enjoys taking long walks and losing golf balls while still trying to hit below 80 at least once in his life! And when he’s not outside, Jon often experiments with his baking skills to perfect new recipes in the kitchen. Jon graduated from Bethany College, West Virginia with a BSc Chemistry degree and holds a Master of Business Administration from Miami University.
