Maria was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She started her career as a Condominium Property Manager in 2001 and has over 25 years of experience in the condominium community. In 2005, she founded New Concept Management Inc., a successful condo management firm. Maria studied Business Law, Management, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, and Human Resources, earning certifications from the Real Estate Council of Alberta, the Canadian Condominium Institute–Southern Alberta, and Mount Royal College.
Maria is well-respected for her leadership, mentorship, and contributions to education in the condo industry. Passionate and proactive, she promotes change in this quickly growing and evolving sector. Maria serves as a Director on the Canadian Condominium Board for South Alberta, chairs the CCI South Alberta Education Committee, and is a Founding Member of the Alberta Condominium Management Recruitment Committee. She is also a Director on the Alberta Condominium Conference Committee and leads the Education Division.
In 2014, she earned her Associate designation from the Canadian Condominium Institute and was awarded the Fellowship of the same institute. In 2026, she received the Distinguished Service Award with Honours from the Canadian Condominium Institute. Maria remains committed to advancing the industry through education and continuous improvement, guided by her belief that “Elevate the practice of condominium management through education."
