Melinda Choy graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education. She has worked in private and public sectors and spent three years in Mongolia working in the non-profit sector.

Melinda has over 15 years of immigration experience. She worked at the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), formerly the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) for 13 years and assumed various roles over the years. She was involved in the development and launched of various provincial immigration streams including the AINP Portal. She worked closely with her colleagues at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and was a key stakeholder in testing the federal Express Entry portal prior to its launch in 2015.

Melinda is now working as the Manager at Canadian Immigration Connections and she works closely with Manprit Aujla-Grewal, who is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants.
